Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Department of Veterans Affairs Location 200 Veterans Drive Hazard, KY 41701 USA Description Located in the beautiful mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) is a120 bed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing care and rehabilitation for Kentucky veterans. EKVC is operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and was built for the sole purpose of takingcare of Kentucky Veterans. This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115. The Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center is looking for a self- motivated, energetic full time housekeeper whopossesses the skills, knowledge, and desire to be a part of our team. Expectations for this position include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, comfortable, and sanitary environment,
• Maintaining records of maintenance and cleaning of assigned areas and supply usage,
• Performing janitorial, and possibly laundry duties.
• Working with other departments to ensure safety & comfort of all residents at all times.
• Organization of housekeeping closets and supply storage areas.
• Floor care throughout facility, including tile, carpets, rugs, wood & vinyl flooring areas.
• Operating floor cleaning equipment such as, but not limited to; buffers, walk behind scrubbers, ride onscrubber, carpet cleaners, and waxing/refinishing equipment.
