This class is accountable for performing the full range of basic tasks in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following identifies the primary and essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of all duties .. Performs custodial tasks and maintenance of areas such as dormitories, classrooms, offices, auditoriums, kitchens, dining rooms and lavatories including outdoor areas (e.g. trash around buildings); 2. Dusts, mops, sweeps, scrubs, strips, waxes and polishes floors using appropriate equipment such as floors and other hard surfaces; 3. Operates polishers and buffers; 4. Washes, dusts and polishes glass including windows, woodwork, walls, furniture and metal equipment; 5. Performs minor maintenance; 6. Inspects buildings for damage and reports conditions to supervisor; 7. Replenishes disposable products such as soap, and paper towels; 8. Cleans chalkboards/whiteboards and other classroom surfaces...
