Under general supervision and following established procedures and schedules, the housekeeper will perform cleaning services in assigned areas in order to maintain the cleanliness, safety, sanitation and attractive appearance of Wofford College's facilities. Housekeepers are expected to maintain a high level of performance, including being customer-oriented and professional and working effectively and efficiently without compromising quality. Punctual attendance with the need to work both independently and within a team environment is expected. Duties and Responsibilities Job expectations for this housekeeping position include (but not limited to) the following:
- Perform a variety of cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing.
- Collect and transport trash to collection points.
- Notify superiors of any mechanical failures or other repair situations observed in assigned areas.
- Handle reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety while handling and using a variety of cleaning solutions and solvents.
- Perform all duties in a courteous, considerate manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
