We are growing and have an immediate opportunity for a Housekeeper in our property The Landing at Oyster Point located in Newport News, VA. We're looking for a Housekeeper who will be responsible for providing superior customer service to all prospects, residents, and vendors. Our housekeeper works efficiently with other team members to complete duties necessary to the operation of the community. Maintains the community to provide quality living to our residents. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.What you will be doing
    • Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of vacant units during turn process
    • Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of common hallways or breezeways
    • Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of common areas, amenities, and grounds
    • Assist with the cleaning out disregarded items from previous residents
    • Complete assigned work orders with the right fix the first time
    • Communication with residents in a polite, respectful and appropriate manor
    • Maintain professional conduct at all times and courteous of resident's belongings
    • Complete assigned turns per the company's turn policy
    • Responsible for following company safety work practices and policies
    • Maintain the maintenance shop and alert supervisor of needed supplies
    Assist with any other tasks as directed by management
What you will bring along
  • Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
  • Uses verbal and written communication effectively in all situations
  • Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with no current restrictions.
  • Ability to drive a golf cart
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. independently
  • Endure year round interior/exterior temperatures for extended periods of time with physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs
  • Ability to climb step and extension ladders
  • Ability to work with maintenance and cleaning products
  • Own and able to operate specified hand tools/power tools
