Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham's charming Main Street and within a short drive of all Cape Cod has to offer.

The Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms and/or suites, reporting deficiencies to ensure all rooms are maintained in accordance to standards and procedures of guestrooms and public areas as set forth by Forbes, AAA, Preferred Hotels and Resorts and Chatham Bars Inn.

• Ensure occupied and vacant guestrooms are cleaned and maintained up to the standard as demonstrated by Housekeeping supervisory staff during initial training • Remove trash, linen, terry and personal items from previous guest • Thorough cleaning of guestrooms properly using the provided chemicals and equipment • Arranging all toiletries, clothing and guest items to standard • Replenish all amenities and terry items • Efficiently make bed to meet appearance standard as demonstrated • Remove all room service trays and items from public areas and request for removal • Double check cleanliness of completed work area and placement of amenities in each complete guestroom before moving on to the next task • Recognize and report all missing, damaged or substandard furniture, fixtures and equipment • Ensure that all electronic devices (television, remote controls, fireplace, stereo, and telephones) are working properly • Ensure all guestrooms assigned are completed, continuously providing updated status. Return device at end of shift with correct status noted including any information for input into guest profile • Organize supply closets and work areas so that the Housekeeping Department operates, maintains and consistently meets efficient standards • Return all articles left by guest to Lost & Found and adhere to all Lost & Found policies and procedures Qualifications: • Superior organizational skills • Superior attention to detail • Can work well independently as well as in a team setting • Follow direction well • Able to meet deadlines • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. • Being flexible and motivated • Professional appearance and grooming • Able to work with cleaning chemicals/products • Experience preferred
