Housekeeper - 40 hours/wk, Sun - Thurs scheduleThe primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Building Services Director, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. In the absence of the Building Services Director, the Housekeeper is responsible to the Nursing Supervisor. We have several on-line programs currently being used by our staff:
- Shifthound is our on-line scheduling program. At the click of a button, you can request time off or request to pick up a shift. You can also send email/text notification to request coverage of an open shift
- Relias is our on-line education program. Classes are assigned via email for you to complete in the allotted time at your own pace
- Paylocity is our online payroll system. We are all direct deposit and you are able to view your check right online. In addition, we communicate to staff through this system
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative Functions
- Assure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas
- Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called
- Attend and participate in inservice educational classes, on-the-job training programs, all mandatory Inservices, etc., as scheduled or as directed
- Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner
- Assure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing housekeeping procedures
- Assure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift
- Keep supervisor informed of supply needs
- Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed
- Maintain the confidentiality of resident information. Honor the residents' personal and property rights
- Be familiar with all aspects of the Resident's Bill of Rights and maintain compliances with same at all times
EducationMust possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GEDExperienceNone required. On-the-job training provided.
