Job Description:
Job Type Part-timeDescriptionWill clean areas such as offices, departments, corridors, waiting areas, stairwells, elevators as well as patient rooms and treatment areas. Will handle and properly dispose of waste.Job Results & Essential Function
  • Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
  • Ensuring all rooms and department areas are cared for and inspected according to The Joint Commission (TJC) Standards.
  • Protecting equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies.
  • Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
  • Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace them when appropriate.
  • Adhere strictly to rules and regarding health and safety.
  • Will handle the waste.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • Working in a fast pace environment without compromising quality
RequirementsEducation & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper is preferred
  • Customer-oriented and friendly
Licenses and/or Certifications
  • Potential of needing a valid NYS Driver License- May be asked to drive to sites for business-related activity.
Physical DemandsThe employee will be on their feet most of the day. A great deal of lifting is involved up to 50 lbs.Language AbilityKnowledge of the English languageMath AbilityAbility to measure cleaning suppliesReasoning AbilityMust be able to work in a harmonious manner with all other departments.
