Housekeepers are also responsible for delivering items to guest rooms (luggage, irons, coffee, etc.).What you'll be doing:
- Attending all property required meetings and training.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Reside standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the property.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
- Comply with Reside standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient property operations.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
Day to Day:
- Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
- Clean and sanitize hotel and guest rooms. Vacuums and sweeps floors, carpets, and rugs. Makes beds, and changes linens. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, showers, toilets, and countertops. Cleans and sanitizes kitchens, sinks, appliances, and countertops.
- Use a daily checklist to complete projects listed below as assigned.
- Elevator lobbies
- Furniture
- Elevator doors/frames
- Service landing/linen closets.
- Stairwells
- Polish floors
- Other projects as assigned by management.
- Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests, fellow employees, and self.
- Handle items for Lost and Found according to the property standards.
- At the end of the shift, turn in all keys and assignment sheets to the Assistant General Manager.
- Report maintenance issues to the Assistant General Manager.
- Pick up any dirty linen or trash as needed.
- Before leaving the section, collect all trash from the service landings and take to/dispose in outside trash dumpsters, per property procedures.
- Vacuum guest corridors.
- Deliver any clean linen to assigned sections, if applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the linen rooms, storage closets and stairwells.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- To support our goal of exceeding customer expectations, the role may include acts of porterage for customer arrivals, requests, or service resolutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.Travel:This position could require minimal travel, less than 5% of the time.About you: What you'll bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience in a hotel or a related field, preferred
