Position Overview:The Park Place Hotel, a historic gem in the heart of Traverse City, is seeking dedicated Housekeepers to fill an urgent full-time opening. As a member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in upholding the 1930s elegance of our hotel by ensuring clean, comfortable, and inviting spaces for our guests.Responsibilities:
- Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Make beds, replace linens, and replenish amenities as needed.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas.
- Ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals with meticulous attention to detail.
- Report maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with laundry duties, including folding and organizing linens.
- Uphold all hotel safety and cleanliness standards.
- Provide friendly and respectful interactions with guests, offering assistance when needed.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous housekeeping experience is a plus but not required-we will train the right candidate.
