If you answered yes, and want a rewarding career, Goshen Valley Foundation is for you!Goshen Valley provides hope and healing to foster youth and vulnerable families through relational, trauma-responsive services to cultivate personal healing and generational change and we would love the opportunity to see if we would be a good fit for you.Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is looking for a Housekeeper to work at our 160-acre campus located in northern Cherokee County which is home to about 40 young men in foster care.The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all office spaces, general use buildings, and Respite Homes located off-campus. The Housekeeper will also be expected to assist with inspecting facilities for signs of damage due to neglect, pest intrusion, mold/mildew, or damage and informing the Facilities Director of the current state of all buildings visited.Housekeeper duties include:
  • Weekly cleaning of office spaces and general use buildings on GVBR Campus.
  • Inspect facilities for signs of damage due to neglect, pest intrusion, mold/mildew, or damage. Communicate current state of all buildings with the Facilities Director.
  • Weekly or as-needed cleaning of Respite Homes located off-campus.
  • Weekly stocking of supplies in office spaces and consumables in all public restrooms/kitchens.
  • As needed stocking of respite homes and other spaces as directed by Facilities Director.
  • Cooperating with Facilities Department in organizing and maintain stock of commonly used supplies.
In addition, the right Housekeeper candidate will exhibit the following skills: Flexibility, Planning and Organization, Time and Priority Management, Personal Accountability, and be a Self-Starter. This is a part-time position and is expected to be up to 16 hours per week. Benefits include 401k eligibility with a $750 annual match.   • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years' experience in general facilities janitorial operations, including general cleaning, supply stocking/reordering, and asset management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be of good character and supportive of the programs, policies, and ideals of GVF.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check, possess a valid driver's license, and be insurable by GVF insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to provide own reliable means of transportation to and from work and around GVF campus as needed.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift, life overhead, and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to climb stairs frequently. Ability to remain balanced to: stoop, squat, knell, crouch, twist, turn, and reach down, forward and overhead repetitively. Ability to push/pull and maneuver cleaning cart and cleaning equipment through buildings.
