JOB TITLE: Environmental Services Technician GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- The Environmental Services Technician cleans and disinfects patient and non-patient care areas and removes refuse materials, along with the replacement of expandable supplies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Cleans and disinfectants patient and non-patient care areas
- Removes refuse materials, and replacement of expendable supplies
- Stocks areas as appropriate
- Operate floor equipment
- Regular and prompt work-site attendance
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement
- Previous experience in cleaning/floor maintenance in a hospital environment is preferred
- Is aware of professional standards and performs in accordance with them
