Job DetailsJob Location Highland- Clarksburg Hospital - Clarksburg, WV Position Type Full Time DescriptionHIGHLAND-CLARKSBURG HOSPITAL JOB DESCRIPTIONHOUSEKEEPING AIDE/LEADJOB SUMMARY: Performs and supervises tasks in assigned areas of the hospital in order to create and maintain an attractive, orderly, safe and sanitary environment. Oversees the housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor. Reports to the Housekeeping Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Instructs personnel in use of equipment and cleaning methods. Provides on-the-job training for new employees.
  • Performs hazard surveillance and semi-annual safety inspections
  • Ensures employees perform assigned duties and respect patient's rights.
  • Completes various reports, i.e. weekly safety rounds, monthly department report and internal customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Ensures that staff complies with hospital policies and procedures. Responsible for recommending personnel action for individuals as needed
  • Keeps a day to day inventory sheet on janitorial products and supplies and fills out purchase orders as needed
  • Delegates work responsibilities to staff and plans work routine.

  • Attend staff development training as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret instructions, documents and follow procedures. Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively with employees and managers Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables as needed. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to deal with multi personality types and remain calm during high stress situations. Computer literate, working knowledge of Windows and other applications.
