POSITION OBJECTIVE: As a Floor Technician at Ravenscroft School, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of facilities under our care. 7am - 4pm work schedule.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Floor Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, and scrub floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Perform floor stripping and waxing to ensure a polished and presentable appearance.
- Operate various types of floor care equipment proficiently.
- Carpet Care:
- Vacuum carpets regularly to remove dirt and debris.
- Perform carpet cleaning and extraction as needed.
- Identify and address carpet stains and spots.
- Lifting:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Adhere to lifting restrictions and proper techniques to prevent injuries.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other cleaning staff and team members to ensure a coordinated and efficient workflow.
- Communicate effectively with the Cleaning Services Manager and other supervisors.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the supervisor.
- Flexibility:
- Willingness to undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in professional cleaning.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in floor care
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This job involves physical activity including, but not limited to, repetitive lifting of 50lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and adhere to safety guidelines.
