Job DescriptionPosition: Housekeeping Inspector Department: HousekeepingPrimary Responsibilities: •Inspect room attendant's performance and hold them accountable when needed. •Ensure all areas are up-to-standards by walking floors constantly. •Offer positive and constructive feedback to team members on a daily basis. •Maintain an effective communication with managers on guest and room issues. •Follow up with guest's requests and ensure work is completed. •Track team member's performance and provide manager with accurate results. Secondary Responsibilities: •Work on projects as needed •Assist with weekly meetings Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days) •Weekends and holidays required. Number of hours worked dependent upon house count and seniority In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria in addition to the Ten Essential Attributes for All Employees. Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.) •Supervisory experience required Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study) •High School Diploma or G.E.D. Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents) •Excellent oral and written skills Technical Requirements:•Basic computer skills preferred•Experience with Property Management Systems (OPERA, HotSos) •Drivers License required Computer ExperienceExcel Database Programming Calendars Internet Hardware Installation Technical Skills: Skill Level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) Typing- (WPM) Intermediate/Experienced Data Entry Other Physical Requirements: Standing- Frequent Sitting- Frequent Walking- Frequent Climbing- Frequent Bending/Stooping- Frequent Overhead Reaching Arm/Hand Movement Hand/Eye Coordination Other (Define)Location of WorkIndoors Outdoors Temp. Fluctuations Work Postures: Continuous (up to 8 hrs. in an 8 hr. shift) Frequent (up to 5.5 hrs. in 8 hr. shift) Infrequent (up to 3 hrs. in an 8 hr. shift) Rarely(up to .5 hr in 8 hr. shift) Lifting Requirements* Must be able to lift over 41 lbs. in the following positions: - Overhead lift - Floor to Waist Lift - Grasping - Push/Pull - Carrying Required Supervision: (Reports to, Supervision provided, number of people to supervise) •Reports to Housekeeping Manager •Supervises room attendants and housemen according to assignment •Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
