DescriptionWe are searching for a Housekeeping Inspector with exceptional people skills who is enthusiastic and courteous to ensure our hotel guests have a wonderful stay. This team member will have a strong background in organizational and communication skills. They can work independently and have a flexible schedule. We require this future team member to be capable of handling a wide range of duties.Responsibilities for this position include ensuring our guest rooms and public spaces are immaculate, and meeting the highest level of our Marriott standards. This role involves inspecting rooms, identifying any missed details, and ensuring all amenities are properly placed. This position also requires cleaning guest rooms. The Housekeeping Inspector plays a critical role in guaranteeing that every guest enjoys a flawless experience.Responsibilities•Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure compliance with Marriott cleanliness standards.•Ensure all rooms are cleaned to the highest standards, checking for attention to detail, including bedding, flooring, surfaces, and bathroom sanitation.•Verify the presence of in-room amenities, including toiletries, hair dryer, and terry, ensuring that all items are stocked and neatly arranged.•Address and correct any deficiencies or inconsistencies in room cleanliness, reporting any maintenance or housekeeping issues to the appropriate team member.•Assist with housekeeping duties when necessary, including cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, and responding to guest requests•Work closely with housekeepers, providing feedback and restraining when necessary to maintain our high standards.•Prepare rooms for VIP or special requests, ensuring every detail meets guest expectations.•Maintain accurate records of room inspections and communication with the housekeeping supervisor.•Ensure all safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are strictly enforced.•Report any damaged or broken items to maintenance and follow up to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.•Assist periodically with deep-cleaning projects, such as carpets, curtains, and upholstery.•Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed•Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily•Order cleaning supplies as needed, control inventory and manage the department budget•Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests to the front office•Hire and train housekeeping staff to perform cleaning duties and deliver customer satisfaction to our expectationsQualifications•3+ years of supervisory experience in housekeeping management as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping director, or other similar position•This position requires a high school diploma or GED•Extensive knowledge of environmental services (EVS), including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies and equipment•Applicants should be excellent leaders, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service•Over 2 years of experience in guest services or hospitality
