Job description Eastview Manor Care Center is a long-term care facility and has immediate openings for a Housekeeping Aide and Laundry Aide. We are looking for compassionate, dependable, and hard-working staff members to join our team. This is a hands-on position and requires experience working in housekeeping and in long-term care. Housekeeper Responsibilities • Wipe down all surfaces in individual rooms and shared areas several times a day. • Disinfect touchpoints including door and cabinet handles, handrails, light switches, and shared electronics. • Sweep and mop hard floors, vacuum carpets, and inspect door mats for signs of wear and tripping hazards. • Clean and disinfect bathroom showers, tubs, whirlpools, sinks, countertops, and toilets. • Tie trash bags before removing them from receptacles and be alert for any tears that might spill contents. Laundry Aide Duties Responsibilities: - Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to facility standards - Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and label machines - Inspect and treat stained or damaged items - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area - Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed - Assist residents with laundry-related inquiries or requests Qualifications: - Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred - Knowledge of different fabrics and their care instructions - Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines Please note that this position requires physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads.
