The Housekeeping & Laundry Aide III will set the schedule for the other housekeeping aides and will ensure all housekeeping aides are performing up to Deployed Services standards. The Housekeeping & Laundry Aide III is required to fill in when other housekeeping aides are absent.Essential Functions:
- Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan, assign work, establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance
- Educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations
- Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
- Train housekeeping aides on cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Oversee staff daily
- Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards
- Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
- Monitor and replenish cleaning products; help maintain an accurate inventory of all linens
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas; Ensure PPE compliance among employees, recommend corrective action or preventative measures where indicated appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility, as needed
- Dust and mop facility, Including floor, walls, and lights
- Vacuum all carpeted areas
- Wipe and sanitize all surfaces
- Empty trash and replace liners. Transport to dumpsters or outbound transfer areas
- Clean and disinfect areas throughout the facility, as needed
- toilets, sinks, doors handle's, glass doors, walls, flooring, and other areas, as needed
- Seek cost savings in daily operations
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations as it pertains to safety standards
- Familiar with OSHA standards for hazardous chemicals
- Proven proficiency in housekeeping operations
- Ability to troubleshoot systems and identify and correct problems
- Great organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365. Inside and outside, all weather conditions
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma (or equivalent), preferred
- One (1) year housekeeping and/or janitorial experience, required
- Six (6) months in a supervisory role, required
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps and lift up to 55lbs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
