The hotel itself is tucked away from Main Street located behind the original historic buildings, creating a peaceful escape offering quiet sophistication just off bustling Main Street. The hotel has 110 guest rooms, including bunkrooms, suites, and a private house, and each room will have tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and little extras to make guests feel at home. The property has three restaurants, one bar, a private dining room, and will offer in-room dining. Guests can enjoy the inviting outdoor lagoon-style pool, a fitness center, and a 2,000 sq. foot full-service spa. The property is ideal for hosting events, with a 3,600 square-foot event space and a 1,200 square-foot mezzanine deck and event lawn.JOB OVERVIEWA Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the property including guest rooms, public areas,back of house, and linens. Housekeeping attendants are responsible for the restock of in-room guest amenities andmust ensure a thorough inventory control of these products. This role will follow the policies, standards, andguidelines established by New Waterloo, the Department of Health, and any other applicable governmentagencies.What you'll do:Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, andverbal instructionThoroughly clean guest's rooms according to Standard Operating Procedures; complete in-room checklistsfor each assigned roomReplenish guest room amenities as needed including towels, in-room water, bathroom supplies, etc.Sanitize all high-touch items in guest's rooms dailyNotify Supervisor of any guest rooms that need to be placed out of order for maintenance concernsReport and correct any deficiencies noted in guest rooms to the appropriate individualsAssist in the timely completion of all projects including mattress rotation, window washing, deep cleanings, etc.Greet all guests in close proximity and make each feel important by providing a genuine welcomePossess knowledge of all guest services and amenitiesMaintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the work areaEnsure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessaryEnsure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are metAssist in the implementation of special projectsEnsure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working conditionMaintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property and keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirementsBe available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directedWho you are:You have a high school diploma or general education degree preferred.You have previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience preferred.You are able to interpret standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation instructions.BENEFITSWe are proud to offer competitive wages and the following benefits for full-time employees:Up to 3 weeks paid time off annually50% off discount at most New Waterloo restaurantsHealth, vision + dental benefits401K matchingPaid holidaysVolunteer payTuition reimbursementReferral bonusesDiscounts at our shops, hotels + local partnershipsABOUT NEW WATERLOONew Waterloo is a community-centric independent hospitality company based in Austin, Texas.
