Job Description:

Summary: The Household Assistant is an integrated team member of the Household Team in support of estate operations. Duties include exterior housekeeping, cleaning, preparing outdoor spaces for family and guest visits, ensuring vehicles and golf carts are clean and ready for use along with preparing sports equipment and common areas are organized, clean and available. Other duties include assisting interior cleaning, running errands, and other tasks assigned as needed. The candidate must be able to work independently, and cohesively integrate as an interdependent team member. Other duties include tasks assigned by the Household Manager.

• Cleaning both interior and exterior windows of all residences and office spaces

• Exterior cleaning e.g., wipe down outdoor furniture, covers, cushions, walkways, and pool decks.

• Adjust and move light furniture as needed, assist with furniture movement for event setup

• Clean light fixtures, cobwebs cleanup of wind debris.

• Prepare, clean and provision vehicles, golf carts and maintain sports equipment and accessories. • Prepare pet staging accessories when needed including disposal of pet waste.

• Dusting and polishing glass surfaces, mirrors, furniture and fixtures

• Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops and sinks

• Follow a garbage/recycling schedule and maintain tidy trash areas

• Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing and mopping floors

• Sorting, organizing, washing, loading, and unloading laundry

• Ironing/steaming clothing and bedding items

• Procure and maintain exterior cleaning products

• Supervise 3rd party cleaning activities and services during surge support

• Advise on methods of cleaning and make recommendations to improve efficiency.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) and maintain associated checklists for work completed. Actively participate with maintaining a safe working environment

• Assist with event setup & breakdown Skills and abilities:

• Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another with frequent distractions.

• Must be able to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

• Ability to interact appropriately with colleagues for different purposes in different contexts.

• Must have and maintain a valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance.

• Drug-free, and satisfactory completion of a background investigation

• Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.

• Must be able to treat all individuals with courtesy, regardless of age or status.

• Demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude with coworkers, clients, and the public whether contact is by mail, telephone, or in person.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy for a private employer.

Physical Demands:

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; talk; hear; use hands/manual dexterity, and fingers to handle or touch/sense, and reach and stretch with hands and arms.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision of 20 inches or less, distance vision of 100 feet, night vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• May be required to climb (stairs/ladders) or balance, crouch, squat, kneel, stoop or crawl.

Supervisory Responsibilities: • Not responsible for direct supervision of employees

Working Conditions:

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment and residential home furniture.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Expected Hours of Work:

• This position requires the availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Hourly contract rate range of $30.00 to $33.00 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
