To oversee and perform the day to day environmental cleaning and maintenance functions of the interior and exterior facility areas, including utilities, equipment, furniture and fixtures and to assist in maintaining a positive environment in which the residents may live.Accountability: AdministratorDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and perform daily floor cleaning and maintenance (to include dry mopping, wet mopping and buffing) in resident rooms, offices, storage areas, departmental areas, and common areas, according to established facility protocol.Remove and replace floor finish on tile floors.Oversee cleaning of spills or soiled areas, as directed.Maintain clean storage areas and move furniture, as needed.Perform minor repairs to building and equipment, furniture and fixtures.Maintain proper functioning and adequacy of lighting.Oversee daily functions of housekeeping and laundry staff.Oversee daily functions maintenance services.May be required to flip mattresses on resident beds.Oversee cleaning of the dining room after all meals.Change cubical curtains and drapes as needed.All other duties, as directed by the AdministratorUnderstand and follow the rules and regulations regarding residents' rights.Prevent abuse, neglect and exploitation in the elderly.Promote a safe, clean environment in which the residents may live.Become a participating facility team member with the residents as first priority.Maintain staffing for Environmental and Maintenance Departments.
