DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for supporting Red Hawk Casino's culture and providing service that exceeds our guests' expectations.
- Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in the Hotel Housekeeping department.
- Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
- Ensures housekeeping staff performs duties within the established time lines to meet customer needs.
- Assists with supervision of daily cleaning of occupied rooms and preparation of rooms for new check-ins.
- Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager regarding any concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
- Responsible for supporting compliance to departmental budgets.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Ensures that guest rooms are well maintained and in proper repair.
- Assists with inventory items, such as linen and supplies, and ensures they are tracked and accounted for daily.
- Assists with special requests from the Front Desk.
- Inspects all vacant and recently cleaned rooms, common areas including stairs, elevators and lobby for cleanliness to ensure housekeeping specifications are met.
- Reports all maintenance problems and assures protection of all hotel property from possible damage.
- Maintains knowledge of and compliance with all safety and health standards set by OSHA and local Health Department.
- Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to management in a timely manner.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in departmental and company matters
- Ensure the company has a workforce that can meet current and future business objectives, deliver quality products, and service that meets the guest needs
- Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner abiding by all health and safety regulations
- Maintains a professional appearance and acts as a role model according to the established grooming and appearance policy.
- Stays informed on department and property knowledge and promotions
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Casino/Hotel industry experience preferred with increasing levels of responsibility.
- One-years hotel/customer service experience required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Applicants should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and utilize a variety of standard computer systems/office productivity software at an intermediate or advanced level
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
- Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Housekeeping team members in times of emergencies.
- Must be able to operate equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, computer, copy machine, mop, broom, and handheld radio.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Must have ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per shift
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 100 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
