JOB SUMMARY Supervises the cleaning of theentire facility.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Employee must have a high schooldiploma.
QUALIFICATIONS Somedepartmental experience preferred. Employee must be able to supervise, organize, communicate and performessential tasks and duties, make decisions, deal with families, residents andstaff, follow requests, be able to use cleaning supplies and equipment and beaware of housekeeping policies and procedures. Employee must also adhere to all health and safety standards and possessa caring attitude with sincere concern to the elderly.
RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise,hire, train, schedule and evaluate departmental employees, purchase stock anddistribute supplies and equipment; perform duties of personnel in the departmentto ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortablemanner. Must also carry out the assignedduties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal andstate regulations and established policies and procedures.1) Superviseday-to-day housekeeping functions of assigned personnel2) Assignpersonnel to specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments andensure that schedules are followed3) Coordinatedaily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routinecleaning assignments in resident living and/or common areas4) Assurethat personnel are performing assigned tasks in accordance with establishedhousekeeping procedures5) Assurethat assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, andattractive manner6) Assurethat housekeeping personnel follow established safety precautions whenperforming tasks and using equipment and supplies7) Assurethat established infection control practices are maintained when performinghousekeeping procedures8) Coordinateroutine/terminal isolation procedures with nursing services9) Assistin developing procedures for performing daily housekeeping tasks10) Interpretdepartmental policies and procedures to new housekeeping personnel11) Assistin the orientation and training of housekeeping personnel including propertechniques of mixing chemicals, cleaning disinfectants, solutions, cleaningmethods, use of equipment, etc., as directed12) Reportall hazardous conditions and/or equipment to the Administrator13) Assurethat fire protection and prevention programs are maintained by departmentpersonnel in accordance with the fire safety policies and procedures14) Assurethat equipment is cleaned, properly stored, and all equipment and supply needsare recommended to the Administrator15) Conductdaily inspections of assigned work areas to assure cleanliness and sanitaryconditions are maintained16) Assurethat refuse is disposed of daily and in accordance with the establishedsanitation procedures17) Assurethat an adequate supply of housekeeping supplies are maintained.18) MaintainMSDS documents as it pertains to the supplies purchased/maintained.19) Reviewand evaluate the work performance of assigned personnel20) Maintainconfidentiality of resident care information21) Assurethat the residents' personal and property rights are maintained by assignedpersonnel22) Performadministrative requirements23) Provideleadership24) Attenddepartmental and staff meetings25) Submitaccident/incident reports to Administrator and Corporate OfficeJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:
