Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionFLSA Classification: NonexemptReports to: Housekeeping ManagerJob DescriptionSummary/objectiveResponsible for thorough cleanliness of the facility, with particular attention to high traffic areas, locker rooms and the operation of the laundry room. The objective is to maintain a spotless appearance through regular, safe, thorough, systematic cleaning.Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility while providing outstanding customer service
- Continually clean and detail locker room areas during facility hours of operation
- Continually walk through club and locker rooms throughout the shift to ensure tidy and clean spaces and areas
- Follow specific cleaning list/duties as assigned by supervisor, including: cleaning of exercise equipment and exercise studios; cleaning of glass and windows, common areas, lobby, and/or stairwells; detailed cleaning of all locker room areas with particular attention to showers, toilets, and sink/vanities; vacuuming; collecting and disposing of trash; replenishing all toilets and bathrooms with paper products, shampoo and soaps
- Maintain extremely clean, organized work areas with good care and secure storage of all housekeeping equipment and supplies
- Be prepared to clean, detail, or replenish supplies for common areas, aquatic, fitness, spa, cafe, exercise, Kids Zone and conference room areas
- Collect soiled towels from around club to be washed and dried
- Maintain a supply of clean towels; restock towels as needed or requested in different areas of the club
RequirementsPhysical demands
- Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment
- Must be able to walk, bend, reach, stretch and use repetitive arm and leg motion throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift and carry 10 to 50lbs
- Must be able to carry a vacuum backpack
- Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Required competencies, education, and experience
- Prior experience in housekeeping
- High school or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 16 years old
