Position Summary: The Housekeeping Technician I is responsible to keep the all assigned facilities clean and in an orderly and safe condition.Job Responsibilities:
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming or waxing them
- Gather and empty trash
- Maintain, clean and supply restrooms, lunch rooms and locker rooms
- Clean production area hallways
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
- Clean windows, doors, and mirrors
- Dust furniture, desks, walls and equipment
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets
- Wash, dry, fold, package and sort in house uniforms
- Notify management concerning the need for repairs
- Moves items between departments, manually or using hand truck
- Restock and support inventory of hairnets, beard nets, disposable lab coats, disposable coveralls, hoods, safety glasses, gloves and sleeves
- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning, PPE, break room and maintenance duties
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, and ladders to prepare facilities for events such as holidays and meetings
- Maintains a listing of all cleaning agents detailing where used and where stored
- Ensure EHS has the most up-to-date SDS for all cleaning agents
- Communicate with Quality & EHS for new cleaning supply approvals
- Print/Distribute/Maintain daily housekeeping PM's.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to learn cGMP, QA program and Safety programs
- Must be able to push, pull, crawl, bend, stoop, twist, climb and carry throughout shift
