Job Summary: Responsible for setting up tables, chairs and linens, as well as performing other duties related to the setup and breakdown of event rooms all while maintaining Pier Sixty's high standards of quality.Compensation: Hourly $18.00Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Set event rooms per diagram.Stack and store equipment in lumber-room when not in use.Assemble and break down the dance floors and maintain cleanliness.Place linen and skirting on all tables for functions.Set tables with water glasses, pads, pencils and candies for meetings unless otherwise instructed.Pin-spot tables.Refresh rooms in between functions and room turns.Monitor and refresh guest bathrooms during events and spot check throughout the day. Refresh paper goods in dispensers as necessary. Empty trash as needed.Move all lumber for room turns.Assist captains and Banquet Service Managers during events.Monitor gallery and lobby for cleanliness ensuring spotless mirrors and floors. Remove boxes. Breakdown tables when there are no functions.Vacuum ballroom daily. Perform deep cleaning as needed.Clean windows and ledges.Spot clean chairs. Perform deep cleaning as needed.Clean, organize and maintain storerooms.Spot clean acoustic walls and moveable partitions. Perform deep cleaning as needed.Travel, as necessary, to different properties/venues.Utilize and drive golf cart or loading cart to move supplies from one pier to the other; a valid driver license is required.Assist coworkers with completion of assignments when needed.Perform any general cleaning tasks.Keep work area clean and well organized.Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions. Perform all reasonable requests by the management team.Follow proper time keeping policies and procedures.Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:High School graduate or equivalent preferred.Prior hospitality/events receiving experience preferred.If Driver License acquired, must ensure safe driving and transport of supplies, materials, tools, equipment and other products and must adhere to annual driver license background checks to ensure validity for driving.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.Ability to speak some of the English language in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.Must have a positive attitude about service, teamwork, and motivation to go above and beyond.Ability to work independently or in a team setting.Able to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.Physical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including meeting productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; ability to load, unload, push, pull up to 80 lbs.Ability to wheel, load, unload, push and pull items on a hand truck, dolly, or rack weighing up to 300 lbs.Ability to withstand extreme temperatures.Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.Ability to stand, bend, stoop on a consistent basis.Ability to work in confined spaces.Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to lift, push, pull, hold and reach tools and equipment such as tables and chairs.Other Responsibilities:Maintain professional appearance and behavior when in contact with guests and team members.Arrive to work in a perfect uniform and excellent hygiene.Know and follow all Pier Sixty emergency, safety and health procedures.Follow Policies and Procedures in training manuals and Team Member handbook.Follow the sign in and out procedure for keys as necessary.#J-18808-Ljbffr
