At Redeemer Services Inc., you will always be heard and understood.Description We are seeking a Housing Case Manager/Social Worker who will be responsible for assisting clients in finding long-term stable housing. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining prospective housing options based on the client's preferences and budget, removing any barriers that limit housing choices, and connecting clients with funding sources such as charity grants or government programs. The Housing Case Manager/Social Worker will also advocate for the client with prospective landlords, assist clients in applying for housing, and provide support once housing has been found.Responsibilities: Determine prospective housing options based on the client's preferences and budget. Connect clients with funding sources such as charity grants or government programs. Remove any barriers that limit housing choices, such as eviction expungement. Advocate for the client with prospective landlords or current landlords. Assist clients in applying for housing. Provide support once housing has been found to ensure the client has long-term stable housing. Provide rides to your client to potential housing options. Position Requirements Requirements: Associates or Higher Able to pass a Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Study. Valid Driver's License with less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, including DUI. Maintain a reliable vehicle. Maintain valid car insurance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be reliable, honest, hardworking, and organized. Basic computer skills. Able to work with diverse groups.Preferred Requirements: Knowledge of the local housing market. Experience working with people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Associates degree or higher Any Degree with relevant experience.
