No need to wait until payday!About the Role:As a Housing Specialist you will play a critical role in helping individuals and families find safe and affordable housing. You will be responsible for assessing clients' housing needs, identifying available resources, and providing guidance and support throughout the housing search process. Your work will directly impact the lives of those in need, and you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related fieldExperience working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instabilityStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office and database managementPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related fieldExperience working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health and substance use disordersKnowledge of local housing resources and rental assistance programsExperience with housing advocacy and policyResponsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' housing needs and preferencesIdentify and connect clients with available housing resources, including rental assistance programs and affordable housing optionsProvide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the housing search processMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progressCollaborate with community partners and stakeholders to expand housing resources and improve outcomes for clientsSkills:As a Housing Specialist, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and community partners. You will also utilize your knowledge of local housing resources and rental assistance programs to connect clients with the best available options. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be critical in ensuring that clients receive the support they need. Additionally, your proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management will help you maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
