Make a difference as a Housing Stability Specialist
As a Housing Stability Specialist at EDEN, you can expect a dynamic and fulfilling day-to-day experience. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments for clients facing housing instability, collaborating with community resources, and developing personalized action plans. You will engage with clients through one-on-one meetings, offering empathetic support while problem-solving their unique challenges.
Daily tasks may also involve tracking client progress, documenting outcomes, and facilitating workshops on housing rights and resources. You will work closely with a dedicated team, attending regular meetings to strategize and share insights on best practices. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life experience while immersing yourself in meaningful community engagement.

What we're looking for in a Housing Stability Specialist
To excel as a Housing Stability Specialist at EDEN, a combination of skills and qualifications is essential. A Bachelor's Degree in a Social Services-related field is required, providing you with the foundational knowledge necessary to support individuals facing housing challenges. Ideally, you should have at least two years of experience in the social services field, particularly working with individuals who have criminal backgrounds, enabling you to understand their unique needs and barriers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as you'll be engaging with diverse clients and building trusting relationships. You'll also need problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations and think critically about solutions.
Familiarity with relevant software tools for client management and reporting will enhance your efficiency in the role. Additionally, having a valid driver's license with four points or less, as well as a reliable automobile and insurance, is crucial for client visits and community outreach in Cleveland.
