WAGE RANGE: $19.60 - $22.80/hourly JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities is seeking a self-motivated leader who is dedicated and detail-orientated, compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally aware to serve as a Housing Support Coordinator at our Endeavors Residence. The Housing Care Coordinator will act as a liaison and provide superior customer service while assisting residents, outside agency providers, and vendors. Under general supervision, they will maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for residents by providing referral information on a wide variety of topics. They will assist in resolution and de-escalation of emerging problems or situations that residents may face. Ensures that rules and policies are consistently enforced. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides a clean, safe, supportive, and secure environment for residents, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers.
  • Provides leadership in orientation and training of employees for the program's Housing Support Representatives
  • Partners with Program Management to ensure the enforcement of program rules and policies and that observation and incident reports are completed according to procedure.
  • May assist with filling shift coverage gaps across shifts and across sites within the housing division.
  • Utilizes conflict resolution and de-escalation skills to defuse crisis situations.
  • Partner with Program/Property Management to model and coach conflict resolution and de-escalation skills to other Housing Support staff.
  • Facilitate involvement with other community programs to promote Catholic Charities' services and establish strong community networks and partnerships.
  • Assist with program development, management, and evaluation in conjunction with Program Management
  • Provide professional front desk services including:
  • Manage incoming calls.
  • Assist residents with inquiries and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
  • Manage and enforce visiting policy and process.
  • Provide quality service and support in variety of areas, including, but not limited to, maintenance requests, complaints, grievances, resources, and referrals.
  • May administer medications according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete regular rounds, checking all exits, fire doors, and common areas, as well a monitoring residents' activities in common areas to ensure safety and security.
  • Respond and handle issues in the best interest of the resident, building, and organization by regular identification of opportunities that positively impact the resident's experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE:
    • Minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience working successfully with low-income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness.
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations who are experiencing serious life challenges, chemical dependency.
    • Developed sense of integrity and commitment to resident/tenant and customer satisfaction required.
    • Has expertise and is well-practiced in de-escalation techniques in a shelter milieu.
    • Ability to accurately enter data into computer system for reporting purposes.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
