Location:Tallahassee, FL As the Academic Careers Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and assisting the Director of Healthcare Careers for all recruitment and employment initiatives supporting all positions within Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH), in collaboration with the Chief Clinical Officer/VP, Chief Nursing Officer/VP, Chief Health Ops Officer/VP and Chief Support Srvcs Officer/VP.The HR/Academic Careers Strategist is responsible for:

  • Strategizes, establishes, develops, maintains, and facilitates community and academic connections, relationships, and partnerships with local, state, and national schools, colleges, and universities from which Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH) recruits.
  • Dedicates to creating and maintaining talent pipelines continuously to fill vacancies (especially clinical positions (e.g., nurses, therapists, technicians, and allied health positions)) in various organizational areas, focusing on (but not limited) to the Clinical Division, Respiratory/Cardiopulmonary Services, Medical Imaging Services, Support Services, and the Surgical, Neuro/Neuroscience, Oncology, Orthopedics/Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, and Women's & Children's service lines;
  • Sources active and passive candidates proactively via academic centers, schools, colleges, university job boards, recruitment platforms, professional portals, social media, referrals, networking, and other recruitment channels.
  • Interacts with Human Resources (HR) teams, nursing leaders, service line administrators, administrative leaders, and executives in addressing recruitment needs while forecasting turnover and promoting retention.
  • Formulates and extends prompt job offers to internal and external candidates at hiring leaders' requests.
  • Operates personal motor vehicle(s) for official duty travel.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties.

Supervises:

  • None

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field. HR may accept directly related professional experience for the required education on a 1-year:1-year basis. Experience credited in lieu of required education will not be applied toward the minimum experience requirement below.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of recruiting experience.

Required:

  • Strong understanding of networking and sourcing strategies.
  • Multi-function organizational skills.
  • Planning skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency.

Preferred:

  • Experience in HR employment procedures.
  • Clinical recruiting experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential from Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to recruiting and employment practices.
  • Basic understanding of applicant tracking technology.
  • Analytical skills sufficient to supply solution-focused resolve to complex problems and make recommendations.
  • Ability to apply federal and state regulations related to recruiting and employment practices.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work and customer service against tight deadlines effectively.
  • History of success in the full lifecycle recruiting processes (i.e., from requisition through new hire onboarding).

Required Certification/License/Registry: Valid state driver license. Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Required to supply a seven (7)-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment. Will have received no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years. NOTE: Use of personal vehicle(s) required. Vehicle owner must maintain adequate insurance coverage for personal vehicle(s) used in conjunction with duties. Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) will reimburse the business use of personal vehicle(s) in accordance with procedures defined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Workplace Type:

  • On-site (employees come to work in-person). This individual must live within driving distance of the Tallahassee, FL TMH campus for onsite expectations.
