Come join our team!In our organization, the Human Resources Administrator has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments. POSITION SUMMARY:Provides day to day administrative support on policies, procedures, employee benefit plans, and all other related HR functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides general HR support to managers and supervisors regarding company policy and general employee relations questions/concerns.
  • Makes recommendations on process and systems improvements.
  • Provides support for all positions, including the creation of openings in the company's applicant tracking system as well as completion of background checks, drug screens and physicals. Also occasionally helps schedule interviews when appropriate.
  • Provides support to the HR Manager and temporary agencies to place temporary hourly positions, to include verifying pre-placement requirements. Verifies hours worked and approves invoices for payment.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and completes the onboarding process for all new hires. Ensures all required paperwork is completed, data in the HRIS system is accurate and employees are set up in Kronos with the appropriate employee and management access.
  • Tracks the new hire introductory period for each new hire and processes 90 Day TMP and merit increase.
  • Tracks the employee referral and sign-on bonus programs and submits payout requests as needed.
  • Collects the necessary documents and works with Risk Management to run the Motor Vehicle (MVR) checks to determine authorized drivers for the company.
  • Codes invoices, approves, or obtains approvals, and submits for payment.
  • Administers leave of absence using our third-party vendor and coordinates return to work clearance as needed.
  • Partners with HSE to manage workers compensation claims and administers concurrent FMLA leave using our third-party vendor, if applicable
  • Administers the company's benefits program and assists employees with enrollment and changes as needed.
  • Maintains employee records in the company's timekeeping system, conducts timecard audits each pay period and addresses discrepancies as needed.
  • Verifies US citizenship for individuals to access restricted areas due to NOFORN. This includes Oil States employees across all divisions, temporary agency employees, vendors, customers, and visitors.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of company events and activities at the Arlington location. This includes the Health Fair and flu shots.
  • Distributes HR communication emails across the Arlington campus.
  • Completes verifications of employment.
  • Scans documents into employee records in a timely fashion.
  • Provides support to HR staff as needed.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma with at least 3 years of human resources experience.
  • HR certification a plus.
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong proficiency using UltiPro and Kronos is required.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effectively handle multiple tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Use of a computer, phone, and other office equipment, including copier/scanner, etc.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Occasional use of stairs and/or elevator
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Travel across the Arlington campus. Occasional in-town travel.
