Job Summary:The HR Advisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day Human Resource activities such as benefits, payroll, and compliance with policies and legal regulations. Escalates issues as necessary to HR Leadership and Centers of Excellence (COEs). Coordinates and implements system-wide HR initiatives..Location: Nebraska Methodist Hospital Address: 8303 Dodge Street - Omaha, NeWork Shift: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities:Essential Functions- Serves as a resource for general HR queries and needs by acting as the initial resource for HR support and guidance. Direct employees to the CoEs for specialized support. Escalate complex or sensitive issues to HR Leadership to ensure timely guidance. (40%)
- Support and outreach engagement initiatives by promoting NMHS' brand within the community. Represent the organization at job fairs, university events and other networking events. Assist with HR focused community engagement efforts designed to attract a diverse and skilled workforce. (10%)
- Assist with the administration of HR systems and processes such as employee surveys, onboarding, orientation, stay and exit interviews, recognition and other engagement programs. (20%)
- Collaborate with the CoEs to provide support for HR initiatives and operational needs. (10%)
- Facilitate the delivery, coordination, and support of HR initiatives, programs and services. Partner closely with HR leadership and other departments to implement system-wide HR programs such as employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, performance management, and professional development initiatives. Ensure consistent communication and comprehension of programs and initiatives. (20%)
Schedule:Job Description:Job RequirementsEducation- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience- Minimum 3+ years Professional Human Resources experience preferably with broad exposure for a variety of Human Resource Advisor activities and working with management.
License/Certifications- HR Certification (e.g. Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities- Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and presentation skills to management.
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of NMHS HR policies, processes, and practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive information.
- Conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
- Ability to influence all levels within the organization.
