We're making a lasting impact on thousands of lives-and we'd love for you to join us.Position SummaryThe HR & AmeriCorps Program Manager handles the day-to-day operations of the AmeriCorps program for SBP's Tampa operating site by fostering a team member-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and integrity. This is done by carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment and selection, orientation and organizational acclimation, program/ grants management, and team member support.Additionally, the HR & AmeriCorps Program Manager will work in partnership with the Recruitment & Partnerships Manager, Senior HR & AmeriCorps Program Manager and Onboarding & Professional Development Manager to ensure success in member recruitment, overall grant compliance, and member support.ResponsibilitiesRecruitment and Selection
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment and interviewing strategy to meet all goals for selecting AmeriCorps members. This may include assisting other SBP operations in meeting their recruitment goals.
- Oversees candidate selection to ensure all candidates optimally fit organizational culture and position requirements.
- Onboard selected team members to include conducting background checks as assigned, file creation and support of relocating members.
Team Member Development and Support
- Designs, implements, and refines comprehensive, culturally rich new member onboarding training practices to ensure members are well-positioned to start service.
- Organizes regular training, professional development opportunities, and other talent development strategies to foster a more robust team.
- Manages team member performance evaluation, corrective action, and grievance processes in a mature, professional manner- seeking to resolve issues as quickly as possible with clear steps for improvement and accountability.
- Serves as the champion in developing a culture focused on mission, leadership, accountability, innovation, results, and kindness through feedback and coaching.
- Coordinates and organizes Days of Service activities in partnership with other Program Managers and SBP Operating sites.
Program Management
- Manages time tracking, time off, workers' compensation, payroll, and benefits in coordination with the National People Team.
- Maintains organized, compliant member files.
- Tracks and reports on program data per SBP guidelines.
- Coordinate member deployments to other areas of the country needing disaster response/ recovery services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 2-3 years of management experience, nonprofit management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the AmeriCorps program is highly valued.
- Previous Human Resources experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Google Workplace tools.
- Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Able to pass a Criminal History Check satisfactorily to include sex offender registry, State Police, and FBI.
