FlexStaff is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Temp Human Resources Assistant to work for our client, an organization that helps people with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions and ensuring smooth operations within the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human resources and be familiar with various HR software systems. This is a full-time, long-term temp position with the chance to become permanent. Pay from $25-$30 an hour, depending on experience. Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Support the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, maintaining candidate records, and facilitating onboarding activities.
- Manage employee records and ensure compliance with FMLA regulations and other relevant policies.
- Help administer performance management processes, including tracking evaluations and feedback.
- Process payroll information accurately using systems such as Paylocity or Ceridian.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workforce management practices and assist in implementing new HR initiatives.
- Provide support for various HR projects and programs as needed, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in HR software
- Familiarity with benefits administration and performance management processes.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience in an HR role or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
