Human Resources AssociateSalary Range: $50-$65k Location(s): Dyker Heights, Brooklyn & Lower East Side, NY, NY Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The role of an HR Associate is responsible for obtaining, recording and interpreting Human Resources information withing the Company. They also support the HR Director with maintaining records and assisting with upkeep on policies, procedures and ongoing tasks.
- Employee lifecycle management; creation of offer letters, onboarding, employee support, orientation and documentation. Ensuring accurate and timely documentation at each stage of the process.
- Provide benefit information for employees on an ongoing basis.
- Assist with time tracking for employees; including missing punches, leave, and updates.
- Interact with employees for HR-related queries, while building company culture, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with developing proactive and innovative solutions for employees.
- Maintain organization of all projects and tasks at hand, with quick recall of information.
- Schedule and attend events; including job fairs, company wide celebrations and large scale meetings.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of HR.
- Primary location would be Dyker Heights with 1 or 2 days in Manhattan.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field, preferred.
- At least 2 years worth of experience in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of database software, email systems, and office software a plus.
- Demonstrate the ability to take iniative and follow through on every task.
- Personable and professional under all circumstances.
- Bilingual with Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese or Yiddish a plus.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook). HRIS experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
