Job Description:Farmingdale State College is looking for a qualified Human Resources Associate. The responsibilities of the job will be as follows:* Electronic Routing of Forms - Using Interview Exchange, responsible for routing all student employment forms to the required approvers, answering questions for users and checking that information submitted is accurate and timely.* Appointment Processing - Organize the student and part time appointments, start and end dates, ensure all paperwork is in place, resolve problems, and enter the data.* Responsible for tracking all electronic forms submitted in the system and ensuring all are entered into the HR System before the deadline.* Data Entry of Transactions for employees and students, including salary changes, terminations, FTE changes, transfers, and personnel changes.* New Hire Onboarding - Initiate onboarding for new students and staff, ensure onboarding is completed before the employment start date.* Time and Attendance - Answer questions from students; approve student payroll.* Assist with reporting - Run regular reports to audit data and as requested.* Process student payroll - approve timesheets and follow up with students and department managers as needed.* Oversee the student employment process - ensure information is sent to departments and the website is updated with current information.The college particularly welcomes candidates with knowledge, skills and abilities that include:* Commitment to diversity and university initiatives supportive of diversity and inclusion.* Interest in participating in student-centered service activities.* Desire to apply expertise in promoting civic engagement with the College's many community partners.Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's Degree.* Minimum of 2 years working in an HR or Payroll office.* Experience working with an HRIS or other type of Payroll system.* Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office Excel and Word.* Ability to work with highly sensitive confidential information.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Experience with SUNY HR and/or Payserv.* Master's Degree.Additional Information:This is a full-time UUP position.* For the first 10 working days, beginning Thursday, December 12, 2024, and ending Thursday, December 26, 2024, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.* CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Thursday, December 26, 2024* SALARY: $55,000 + $3,400 in downstate location pay = $58,400 Total Compensation.
