Job Description:

The HR Benefits & Compensation Analyst will be responsible for managing the overall benefits programs for employees including administration of all health and welfare programs, evaluating current and new vendors and programs, ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations associated withhealth and welfare, employee communications, partnering with Operations on market analysis and development and management of pay bands, assisting with annual performance review process and special projects. Location/Schedule: Long Island Headquarters: 105 Maxess Rd., Melville, New York 11747 Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm or as needed for special projects/deadlines Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Management of comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, including evaluation and recommendation of health and welfare programs Oversee the day-to-day administration of benefits programs, including processing of enrollments, terminations and change as necessary, communication with employees and resolution on any benefit-related issues Review of all carrier invoices to ensure correct billing Manage special enrollment for acquisition staff Manage LOA including FMLA, disability, PFL, review of accommodation requests, and requests for personal leaves Management of workers compensation claims processing, renewal process, and required postings including OSHA 300A and workers compensation required state postings Assist with processing of 401(k) enrollment/elections, Paid Time Off and other ancillary programs. Manage and negotiation with broker and carriers along with VP of HR Review and analysis of employee and company benefit contribution for forecasting and budgeting Management of employee communications including but not limited to open enrollment messaging, annual notices including CMS notices, plan changes and other employee facing messaging Management of plan audits and coordination of 5500 review process with Finance for filing Work with VP on Employee Engagement programs Coordinate with Operations on salary bands and bi-annual review, market analysis and compensation analysis related to annual review process Coordinate on special projects with VP of HR Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations Secondary Duties/Responsibilities: Provide back-up support to HR team as needed Support for acquisitions including benefits review and analysis Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal communication skills Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations on Federal, State and local level. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or related software. Experience working within healthcare highly preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, Google Docs or related software. Proficient with ADP Experience working with dental or medical practices highly preferred. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum of 5-7 years of human resource management experience required. Minimum of 3 years in benefit administration and management required SHRM-CP a plus. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to bend, crouch to file and retrieve files. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
