The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting employees and managers with benefits enrollment and questions, verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee benefits database and ensures compliance with required federal and state regulations, as well as company-specific policies and programs. Benefits assistance will be related to medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, dependent care, health savings accounts, life insurance, wellness, accident, critical illness, cancer and other voluntary benefits, with knowledge of short - and long-term disability, and 403(b) and 457(b) plans. The role provides guidance to employees and managers and facilitates the smooth operation of benefits processes within our organization. Great customer services is required for this position. Uses common sense approach to daily problem solving and requests assistance from Director of Benefits & Compensation and other leaders, as needed.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must be extremely detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a high client contact area with good communication and organizational skills as well as being able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
