Position Summary:

The HR Compliance and Benefits Administration Specialist is responsible for overseeing and administering our comprehensive employee benefits programs while ensuring strict compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This role demands a detail-oriented professional with outstanding organizational skills and a deep understanding of HR compliance.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

* Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability benefits, and retirement plans.

* Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations affecting employee benefits and employment, such as ERISA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and ACA.

* Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance of benefit programs and HR policies.

* Act as the primary liaison between benefit providers and employees, handling benefits inquiries and disputes to ensure quick, equitable resolutions.

* Facilitate the benefits enrollment process for new hires and during the annual open enrollment period.

* Develop, update, and maintain written procedures for benefits processes and compliance activities.

* Coordinate with the HR and finance teams to ensure alignment of benefits administration with payroll and accounting systems.

* Educate employees on their benefits and any changes to the programs as needed.

* Stay updated on new laws and regulations that may impact benefits and compliance, and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.

Here is what we're looking for:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

* At least 3 years of experience in HR compliance and benefits administration, preferably within the payroll services industry.

* Comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations affecting employee benefits.

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of staff.

* Proficient with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

* SHRM-CP or PHR certification highly desired.

* Experience with multi-state payroll and benefits administration.
