Position Summary: This role provides administrative support to the Divisional Human Resources managers and Director by assisting in day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. In-person position. Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for onboarding new hires through ADP (HRIS) system
- Maintain Job postings on Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Maintain and update employee files, I-9 files, and legal files in line with organizational policies and government regulations, to ensure accuracy of files
- Conduct background checks for all new hires
- Maintain and update records with the HRIS/Payroll System(s)
- Assists with the recruitment process by reviewing resumes and applications, and conducting phone screening and scheduling interviews
- Prepares and forwards correspondence as is necessary
- Assist with various projects as requested
- Participate in departmental meetings both in-person and virtual
- Maintain current knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to employer and employees
- Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree
- 2+ years Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Complete The Salvation Army Safe From Harm training and keep current as needed
- Strict confidentiality
- Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of HRIS/Payroll/ATS systems, ADP Vantage a plus
- Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new programs as needed
- Certificates and Licenses:
- Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
