HR Generalist Dayton, OH Noise, Vibration, and Harshness Division Engineered Materials Group
Parker Lord's Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. Our core competencies include machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, and we hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
Position Summary
Responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and working closely with the HR Manager on employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.
Responsibilities
Supports recruitment by creating requisitions, posting jobs, screening resumes, and interacting with candidates. Facilitates new employee orientation.
Counsels management in appropriate resolution of routine employee relations issues. Investigates employee complaints, making management aware of such complaints and ensuring timely and equitable resolution.
Responds to employee questions/problems regarding payroll, benefits, and other related Human Resource matters.
Prepares and analyzes site reports on timesheet hours, overtime, team member count, hiring, etc.
Provides support with organizational training efforts relative to human resources policies and practices, organizational development, and compliance.
Maintains affirmative action program including records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Responsible for formulating, communicating, and executing the facility plan to comply with applicable regulations.
Initiates HRIS transactions for team member changes (hires, terms, promotions, manager, etc.).
Prepares and maintain all exempt and non-exempt team member files for the facility.
Coordinates employee events and activities as well as community service endeavors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or other related field, and two or more years of related experience. HR certification preferred.
Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication, internal customer service, and presentation skills.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with division staff, leaders, and all levels of the organization.
