Our client, based in New Rochelle, is a growing non-profit organization looking for an HR Generalist to join their team ASAP.
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the CFO, the Human Resources (HR) Generalist oversees day-to-day people operations. This role is crucial as our organization experiences significant growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain HR procedures, policies, and practices
- Collaborate with leadership on staff performance metrics
- Manage job descriptions
- Handle new hire onboarding
- Support recruitment efforts
- Serve as HR point of contact for staff
- Maintain HR information systems
- Manage benefits enrollment and reporting
- Oversee various types of leave
- Coordinate required staff training
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stay informed on compensation best practices
- Assist with special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 3-5 years of HR experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Self-directed work ethic
- Proficiency with office software and HR systems
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
