Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized professional to join our team as a HR Generalist. This is a key role in our newly established New York City office, responsible for managing human resources functions, overseeing recruitment processes, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, experience in recruitment, and excellent organizational skills to manage office operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits, payroll, employment contracts and compliance with local labor laws.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, with a focus on adjusting existing group-level processes to meet New York standards.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to onboarding.
  • Source and screen candidates using various recruitment platforms and methods.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews and collaborate with hiring managers on hiring decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
  • Organize and participate in recruitment events and campus recruitment activities.

Along with the primary focus on recruiting top talent, this role will also provide support for the day-to-day office operations, such as keeping supplies organized, coordinating with vendors, and helping to plan occasional events or meetings. These tasks are more flexible and will pop up as needed, allowing you to contribute in various ways without needing specialized skills. The goal is to create a positive and productive office environment that aligns with our company culture while keeping the main focus on recruitment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, and/or office management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Experience in a startup or scale up company is highly desirable.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools.

Remuneration

$75,000 - $110,000 per annum.
