Overview:
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsbile for providing support in one or more functional HR areas, including but not limited to recruiting, employee relations, business partnering, benefits/leave of absence, process and program administration, and training. This role carries out administrative work involving the human resources function and maintains related records; supports policy implementation, HR programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of HR.

Key Accountabilities
Depending on the site the HR Generalist is located, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
- Provides functional support for designated client group including employee relations; coaching, performance and talent management; employee programs; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees (direct or temporary), and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member.
- Provides talent acquisition support to assigned department or location. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with de-partment managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Oversees hiring for temporary workforce.
- Partner with Hiring Manager to develop offers that are competitive and meet internal equity levels.
- Lead college recruitment initiatives including establishing partnerships with key universities and colleges, attending on campus events, and organizing onsite visits.
- Enhance the companys positive image in the marketplace by cultivating and managing strong relationships with candidates, external contacts and vendors.
- Supports employee onboarding and orientation processes including administration of HRIS system, background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Designs and/or delivers new hire orientation. Responsible for management of new hire orientation programs.
- Actively participates in the development, preparation, and implementation of employee activities, HR Programs and company events.
- Create and build strong relationships with employees and company leadership.
- Assist with the development of department and company policies and procedures.
- Manages Immigration and/or relocation processes, as needed.
- Manages Leaves of Absence and workers compensation for local site employees; Assist with benefits administration as appropriate, including 401k, COBRA, open enrollment and changes.
- Assists with development and delivery of virtual and in-person HR Trainings for employees and managers. May assist other US sites, as required.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Compiles HR metrics for business and talent acquisition as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years previous progressive HR experience preferred; experience within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of general HR principles and practices, employment-related laws and regulations, desired
- Knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems preferred.
- Previous experience developing and implementing trainings, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Excel; working knowledge of MS Office
