Reports to: HR Director Type: Direct hire Pay: $75,000 - 95,000 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), Flexible spending accounts, Leave of absence programs, Voluntary legal assistance / ID Theft protection, Employer paid short term and long term disability insurance, Employer paid life insurance, Voluntary life insurance Hours/schedule: M-Th: 7:30am-5:30pm | F: 8am-12pm, Company has hybrid schedule, can work from home one day a week between M-Th and Friday is optional for home or office Senior Human Resources Generalist The Senior Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including compensation, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development, and assist with payroll, benefits, and leave as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Manages the on-boarding and off-boarding processes, including new hire orientations
- Completes and reviews reference checks, background checks and drug screens
- Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of HR.
- Conduct exit interviews and partner with managers to improve climate based upon constructive feedback.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Assist in development, implementation and execution of human resource policies and procedures, as well as the primary contact for general questions and support on company policies and procedures
- Leads the performance management process including annual reviews, reporting, performance improvement plans, training, and career pathing
- Leads the employee recognition and engagement program, to include development and implementation.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Manages employee safety, welfare, and wellness education and training program and policies, including compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and continuing education.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Provides and analyzes Ad Hoc reports as needed
- Provides backup to the Payroll & Benefits Specialist as needs arise.
- Performs projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Highly adaptable and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to labor and employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to build rapport and communicate professionally will all levels of the firm
- Maintain confidentiality and exercises discretion at all times
- SHRM/PHR certified preferred
Education/ Experience
- Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources or Business Management, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
