As a Human Resources Generalist at our company, you will play a crucial role in delivering value-added services that reflect our business goals. You'll maintain a deep understanding of our business, culture, and competition, and work closely with the Director of Human Resources to lead routine HR functions, including hiring, interviewing, and enforcing company policies. Your role will also involve talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, and participating in HR initiatives. This position is ideal for those with experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or HR Business Partner.POSITION CHARACTERISTICS: We are looking for a flexible, motivated, and resourceful individual with high ethical standards and a professional image. If you have experience as a Personnel Manager, People Services Specialist, or Human Resources Officer, you will find this role rewarding.POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, you will partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies and procedures. You will provide advice and counsel on HR-related topics and be responsible for the entire employee life cycle, from talent acquisition and onboarding to performance management and the exit process. Your insights and suggestions on process improvements will be highly valued. This role is perfect for those who have worked as a Human Resources Manager, Recruiter, or Talent Acquisition Specialist.You will assist with the administration of employee health and welfare benefits and support the open enrollment process. Handling employee investigations, administering corrective actions, and overseeing the daily workflow of the department are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage employee immigration employment visas, referral programs, internship programs, and relationships with colleges, universities, and high schools.Providing constructive and timely performance evaluations, assisting with discipline and termination processes, and implementing new hire orientation and employee recognition programs are key aspects of this role. You will handle employment-related inquiries and assist with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices, and staying updated on HR trends and regulatory changes are essential duties. If you have experience as an Employee Relations Specialist, this role will leverage your skills effectively.Under the direction of the HR Director: You will consult with line management, providing HR guidance and analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance are critical tasks. You will provide day-to-day performance management guidance, work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, and assist with HR policy guidance and interpretation.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Do you have a SHRM-CP certification in Human Resources? Advanced training such as SHRM-SCP is a plus. We are looking for someone with 2-7 years of experience in Human Resources, including at least 2 years of employee relations experience. Experience with ApplicantPro and/or Viewpoint is a plus.You should have a strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, and be comfortable advising others in these areas. Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality are essential. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment, manage complex projects under pressure, and have strong analytical and interpersonal skills.Physical Requirements: This role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
