SummaryThe Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for a variety of human resources functions including but not limited to data entry, employee relations, performance management, compliance, health and safety programs, and contract management.Duties & Responsibilities
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
- Manages employee relations situations, conducts thorough investigations, documents extensively, and mitigates risk
- Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints
- Responds to all EEOC and NLRB charges in conjunction with the legal department
- Develops, recommends, and assists in implementing personnel policies and procedures
- Works effectively to make sure all health and welfare plans run smoothly and reports any issues
- Assists in recruitment efforts for as needed assisting the Talent Acquisition and Engagement Lead
- Manages the bi-annual performance appraisal program and revises as necessary
- Creates and conducts presentations & training using audiovisual tools, including PowerPoint and videos as needed
- Represents the company for any unemployment claims
- Drives a positive, inclusive culture holding the values and mission of the organization in the forefront.
- Researches, identifies upcoming compliance issues. Makes recommendations to Director of HR regarding implementation.
- Manages all Labor Postings for each property
- Facilitates or provides training such as NYS Harassment Prevention Training, NHL Respect training and others as determined necessary to the workforce
- Identifies and recommends employee engagement opportunities for the organization. Participates on designated committees.
- Organizes and conducts Quarterly Book Club.
- Reconciles monthly HR credit card statement and processes invoices for approval through Docuware and JobRouter.
- Processes new player paperwork working in conjunction with the hockey operations and legal departments
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain upmost confidentiality as applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Human Resources or related field
- 4-5 years of experience in Human Resources
- 2-3 years of employee relations experience
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Experience with UKG preferred
- Ability to travel to other locations as needed

CompensationThis the range for this role is $57,512 - $68,000. Note: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
