Able to follow instructions, prioritize duties, and comply with deadlines. Generally given substantial guidance but expected to be self-directed once trained. A high level of confidentiality is required, as well as the ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences. Attention to detail and professional communication skills are required. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   • Processes terminations and sends benefit summary notifications and HRIS access instructions to the terminated team members.
  • Processes promotions, transfer, and allocations letters and changes in HRIS.
  • Processes rent discount updates in HRIS and income verification for housing applications.
  • Processes benefit reconciliation.
  • Assists in preparations for annual benefits open enrollment.
Team Member Records & Support
  • Leads new hire orientation.
  • Responds to unemployment insurance inquiries and requests for documentation.
  • Maintains electronic personnel files including proper titling and file structure.
  • Monitors and follows up on team member compliance with acknowledging current policies and procedures.
  • Supports managers with performance management and corrective discipline processes, by addressing issues while mitigating risks. Under oversight by T&C Business Partner, responsibilities include coaching and feedback, performance improvement plans, verbal and written warnings.
  • Preparation of key team member relations documentation for review by T&C Business Partner.
General Talent & Culture Support
  • Offers HRIS access instructions to active team members.
  • Provides support for routine Support Center tickets.
  • Assists in the maintenance of Knowledge Base Articles on the Support Center.
  • Coordinates exit survey invitations.
  • Assists with quarterly Town Halls and Team Connects tasks.
Administrative Duties
  • Mailing support for new hire gifts, new baby gifts, team member giveaways, etc.
  • Assists with monthly newsletter articles on various topics related to Talent & Culture.
  • Assists with special T&C projects & other duties as assigned.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.TravelTravel is not expected but could occur as the result of occasional business needs.Equipment IssuedStandard computer package.Qualifications
  • Preferred: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 2 years of Human Resources or related experience preferred.
  • HRIS experience is highly preferred.
  • Certificates and/or Licenses: None required.
  • Detail-oriented, with analytical skills and an ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
  • Computer Skills: Centerspace utilizes Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint. This position will also use various software related to human resource functions including benefits and talent acquisition. The ability to effectively use these programs and software is necessary to be successful in this role.
  • Highly responsible with the ability to meet deadlines and shift priorities.
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Hybrid work environment: Standard office setting available, work from home permitted.
