SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the HR Manager, the Human Resources Generalist provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services. The HRG will focus on recruiting efforts for non-technical roles and acts as a key resource on human resources matters, providing guidance, assistance and support to senior management, supervisors, team members and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers for a variety of positions across different departments.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Utilize various sourcing techniques (e.g., social media, job boards, networking) to identify and attract diverse candidates.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit with company culture.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on interview techniques, candidate evaluation, and selection decisions.
- Manage job postings on internal and external platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment laws.
- Act as Lead Investigator in employment related issues/concerns.
- Handles employee relations counseling as needed.
- Manages annual employee handbook review process ensuring relevant updates are included.
- Monitors HR departmental policy and procedure manual to ensure all areas of the HR function are current.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other related issues.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, employee engagement surveys, and talent development programs.
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices and policies.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to HR metrics, such as recruitment status, turnover rates, and training participation.
- Acts as back-up to all benefit administration duties and responsibilities in the areas of enrollment into and termination from benefit plans.
- Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Maintain HRIS records and compiles reports from ADP database.
- Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of progressive HR generalist experience required; Bachelors degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development or equivalent preferred; HR certification (i.e. PHR, SHRM) preferred. Experience in full cycle recruitment preferred.

Valid Drivers License required; must meet company insurability standards
TRAVEL
Travel required, combined of local and overnights. Up to 25% travel to schools, career fairs and our locations in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Overnight stays may be required depending on the location, proximity to the corporate office and depending on the locations needs.
