What You'll Do Reporting to the Director of People, Culture, and Communications, US & Canada, you will be supporting our various business verticals on all things people . This role encompasses all aspects of the employee life cycle. From onboarding to talent development to performance management, you will leverage your passion for people and knowledge of HR best practices to support our ICs and people leaders in achieving results, while maintaining a high-performance and engaging culture. Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize our HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring data integrity, system upgrades, and seamless integration with other platforms.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees globally, managing tax withholdings and deductions, and addressing payroll inquiries.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. This includes open enrollment periods, benefits communication, and resolving employee questions.
- Work closely with the Director of People to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Seek solutions to issues, including investigating complaints and resolving conflicts.
- Manage some aspects of recruitment and onboarding, such as managing applicant tracking systems, coordinating background checks.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations in all regions where we operate.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management (or related field) or equivalent experience, and/or SHRM/PHR certification preferred; Payroll certifications a plus
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including payroll, employee relations, leaves of absence & accommodations, talent & performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws; comfortable providing strategic guidance to managers and individual contributors
- 3+ years' experience in an HR Generalist role in a high-growth, multinational environment; 3+ years of demonstrated HRIS experience required (ADP and Deel experience is a plus)
- 2+ years' experience overseeing multi-state payroll required; professional certification in Payroll, strong understanding of payroll regulations and taxes (ADP and Deel experience is a plus), and Canada payroll experience are a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience navigating employment law, including experience working with outside counsel on various employment-related topics
- Ability to work Eastern Time hours M-F; this role will primarily support teams that sit out of the East Coast region who are generally online from 8a-6p ET.
- Ability to work on-site from our office in New Bern, NC at least 4 days per week; flexibility to travel to other East Coast offices on occasion
- Proficiency in business-level English is necessary
